On Sunday, December 15th, please join us for our “Orthodoxy Alive” Presentation Series at St. Elizabeth the New-Martyr Church

On Sunday, December 15th, at coffee hour after Divine Liturgy, the “Orthodoxy Alive” Presentation Series will continue with a lecture on the life of the Holy New-Martyr Alexander (Schmorell) of Munich.

Born in Russia, St. Alexander was of Russian and German ancestry, and was a young college student in Nazi Germany. He was a founder of the “White Rose” resistance group, eventually sacrificing his life for this cause. He was glorified jointly by the Russian Church Abroad and the Moscow Patriarchate in 2012.

Divine Liturgy begins at 10:00 AM; coffee hour at 12:00 PM.

Въ воскресенье, 15 декабря, приглашаемъ васъ на Серію бесѣдъ „Живое Православіе“ въ Свято-Елисаветинскомъ храмѣ.

Въ воскресенье, 15 декабря, за трапезой послѣ Божественной литургіи, Серія бесѣдъ „Живое Православіе“ продожится съ лекціей о житіи новомученика Александра Мюнхенскаго (Шморелля).

Святой Александръ родился въ Россіи и былъ русско-немѣцкаго происхожденія, и учился въ университетѣ въ фашистской Германіи. Онъ былъ однимъ изъ основателей сопротив-ленческой группы „Бѣлая роза“, и въ итогѣ за это пожертвовалъ своей жизнью.

Онъ былъ одновременно прославленъ Русской Зарубежной Церковью и Московскимъ Патріархатомъ въ 2012 г.

Божественная литургія начинается въ 10:00 ч.; трапеза въ 12:00 ч.
